Perhaps it was a good idea sharing a room with his personal bodyguard, Dongwoo thought. He saw it useful in a way, because after the first few minutes of officially being roommates, he had already found out some things about Hoya, taking notice of the smallest details as he started unpacking his things. The color purple dominated 90 percent of the bodyguard’s luggage, which he found amusing. If it was because it reminded him of his obsession over the color green or because he totally didn’t expect somebody as uptight as Hoya to be having a fetish for something as simple as color, he didn’t know.
He just hoped the younger didn’t notice that he enjoyed observing him.
Dongwoo had to do a double take when he heard him speak, still a bit distracted from watching him just a few moments ago. “Oh, um, err, maybe?” he didn’t really know how to respond to the question. “Maybe… Maybe we have to share… for today?” it came off as a question because he wasn’t too sure himself. But sharing a bed with someone would be a first to him. Realizing how strange it might sound for Hoya, he immediately suggested another idea. “Ah, maybe I could just sleep on the couch for tonight, and tomorrow I’ll ask for this bed to be replaced,” Dongwoo nodded to himself, nearly stammering. Why was he, anyway?
Howon’s lips curled into a small smile, nodding his head slightly at the prince who had yet to answer his question. “For today?” For a second, he was confused and he finally apprehended what the prince meant when he made that suggestion. He wasn’t sure if it was appropriate for them to actually share a bed but making the prince sleep on the couch, definitely didn’t seem appropriate to him. “How about me sleeping on the couch instead?” He’d wanted to tell him to save the trouble of getting the bed replaced but like what he’d mentioned earlier, would it be appropriate? He doesn’t have the answer. Besides, no one else would know they were going to share the bed. So why was Howon even fretting over this?
“We could share the bed,” he glanced down at the bed, fingers feeling the smooth silk and running over a crease formed, most likely due to the pressure of someone sleeping on it, or more specifically, Dongwoo’s. “Having your bed replaced would mean that you have to get used to the scent of the new bed and you might not be able to sleep well for the next few days,” he mused, finally removing his hand and turned his head towards the prince. “I wouldn’t want to be responsible for causing you sleepless night,” his tone was light hearted.
He hoped that his words were enough to convince the prince. Even though deep down he knew, it was just an excuse for him to share the bed with the prince.

To be completely honest with himself, Dongwoo was thrilled at the idea of being roommates with his personal bodyguard. The past days always left the prince restless, just spending the idle nights thinking of the perks of having somebody keep him company, not just for business but also for personal purposes. Today was a little different, though, for Hoya was finally going to move in. Perhaps he was a little too excited that the idea of cleaning and preparing his room slipped off his mind.
And he only realized it when the younger boy entered his room, taking note of the scrutinizing gaze he darted on every corner. Dongwoo shrugged it off, taking a mental note to at least dust off stuff later on. “Oh, here’s the closet,” he said, carrying Hoya’s luggage near the sleek wooden furniture. “Make yourself comfortable.”
Dongwoo then took a seat on the edge of the bed and realized that he still haven’t asked to replace the king-sized one with at least a double-decker or two separate beds. Was I really that occupied with excitement to prepare…? he scratched his head, blankly staring at the younger while he started to unpack his things.
Uzipping his luggage and taking out the piles of neatly-folded clothes, Howon could feel a pair of eyes boring at him and instinctively turned his head to look at the prince. “What’s wrong…?” He asked while bringing the pile of clothes to the closet. Not getting an reaction from the prince, he shook his head with a soft smile and tucked the pile of casual outfits in the corner of the closet. Those casual outfits he had were mainly t-shirts and jeans with the color purple dominating most of it. He has an undying love for purple since young and despite trying hard to quit liking the color, it only made him love the color more, as if he was under the spell. Spell, maybe if Harry Potter really exist in real life.
After bringing out all the clothes in his luggage, hanging those formal suits up in on the hangers, putting other random belongings into the closet, he was finally done with the unpacking. And there were his toothbrush, toothpaste, facial foam, all the bathroom items that he brought along with him. He would just put them in the bathroom later. For now, he would leave them in the Ziploc bags. Everything was neatly arranged. Taking a last glance at the those items, he nodded approvingly to himself.
Walking up to the prince who was sitting on the edge of the bed, he sat down right next to him. That was when he learned why the prince had been staring blankly - the king-sized bed. “Are we sharing the bed?” He asked, not because he minded it. In fact, his voice hinted a tinge of curiosity and that tiny bit of excitement. He had never shared his bed with anyone aside from his parents when he was young and had always wonder how it would be like to share a bed, especially when he often dreamed of the things he would do if he ever had a brother to share a bed with.

“It’s all 7000 won!” Eunji said smiling to the customer . She take the money that the customer gave and then thanked them before bowing to them . She quickly rest at her seat before another customer’s going to come . She close her eyes awhile and sighed . It wasn’t that crowded today but Eunji just a little bit bored doing the same thing everyday . These few days she preferred delivering something rather than just sitting behind the counter all day long .
“Eunji-ya!” she heard her aunt called her . She looked up and stand up from her seat . “Yes auntie?” she forced a smile and trying to not looking tired . Her aunt smile softly at her . “You must be bored sitting here all day long everyday..” before Eunji could respond it with a no her auntie continue to talk. “Let me take care of it today ! And I want you to visit your cousin, please !” her aunt said to her . Hearing that Eunji’s face turn into a wide smile . She missed her cousin so much . She quickly nodded and went to her room .
She tied her hair in double ponytail and get a small basket . After that she went downstairs and choose some breads that her cousin likes . She put the breads in a small plastic before putting it in the basket . She also grabbed 2 can of sodas and put it in the basket . “Auntie, I’m going now okay ?” she smiled then waved to her aunt .
She walked to his cousin’s place while humming a song . She was so excited to meet him .
After taking a call from a relative, Hoya forced himself to get out of his bed after reading the digital clock placed at his bed side. After having spent his night on his bodyguard duties, Hoya fell asleep the moment he plopped down on the bed. He was thankful that his cousin was going to deliver him some food since he never found the time to replenish those stocks in her fridge, leaving him with nothing to fill his hunger. And after a bad experience he had at one of the cafes, he made a mental note to himself to buy those stuffs before he starves himself to death.
Howon took a quick refreshing shower and put on proper clothing, waiting for his cousin to arrive at his place. It had been some times since they last met, both busy with their own lives. Switching on the television set, Howon flicked through the channel and found nothing more than some melancholy drama series playing on the screen. He pressed the power off button on his remote control. That was when the door bell rang and without even looking, he knew who had arrived.
Her voice carried through the door, “Oppa!” He quickly hopped to the door, turning the door knob, pulling it. The familiar eye smile on the girl’s face greeted the boy. “Eunji-ya, how are you?” He asked, before beckoning for the girl to come in, taking the basket full of drool-inducing breads from her hand.
Hyomin grumbled silently, the sarcastic remarks of Hoya always leaving her speechless. She hated him, he always got the last words and it wasn’t fair. Yes, she was childish but still, she had to make sure the invisible tally at the end of the day was in her favour. This time, Hyomin glanced at the taller male beside her, she was going to win.
The darkened hallways constantly grabbed her attention as the silent walk between Hoya and her was unbearable. If they had no insults they had no words and so thus it was awkward, however, thankfully she heard him speak. Her eyes glancing over to her side and nodded. “But of course master.” Her voice hinted with a bit of teasing before she glanced down at her own paper and gawked. Scanning and then re-reading the given task. “How am I supposed to clean nearly fifty or possibly more rooms by myself?”
That was impossible, a individual doing that would end up being finished within a week, not a day, or even two. Her eyes then automatically flew back to Hoya, her head tilted as she blinked. “You’ll be helping me yes?” She didn’t want to sound like she was begging, no, not to the enemy and hoped it sounded more like a threat.
“I didn’t ask you to clean those rooms by yourself, miss.” The words came out with a playful note to it. There were always squabbles between them but that didn’t imply that Howon wants the girl to clean those rooms by herself. No normal human beings can do that, unless she’s abnormal - possessing some supernatural power not known to others.
“Which part of my sentence said that? I just said that to make sure the room to be clean, gosh. Of course I would help you.” Howon has grown used to how the girl never used the word please in times like this, despite seeking for help. Nevertheless, Howon never failed to lend whatever help the girl required. In the eyes of other people, it might seem like an act of a gentleman, with the both of them constantly being at loggerheads. The truth is, Howon does care for the girl as a friend, though he wouldn’t be caught dead admitting it.
Making their way up the spiral staircase, the both of them came to the level where the guest rooms are situated at. Balls and events are not new to the palace and are something frequently held, but this was the first time that Howon had to deal with it. Howon tapped his feet to an unknown rhythm patient as he waited for the girl to unlock the door to the room.
